Abstract:
Serra da Cangalha is a complex impact crater of 14 km diameter in the north-east of Brasil in the Province Tocantins. In 2009 and 2010 field examinations of the rather inaccessible structure took place, which focused on reconstructing the genesis of the structure and defining its age. The actual analysis of the structure is based on the interpretation of the data of texture and remote sensing. A geophysical survey is being arranged.
